As soon as I knew I was going to be a mommy, I started thinking of Christmas. Being 8 months pregnant at the time, all I could think of was how we would celebrate as a little family – a new family – and the fun we would have making memories. As it turned out,…
Finally, I promise that these are the last set of photos from the Pumpkin Patch this year. I love these because there was a huge pyramid made out of hay bales and everyone was running up and down it, leaping off it and looking out across the patch from the top. The boys said it…
Finally, FINALLY we had good weather for a day at the pumpkin patch this year. It was a bit windy but we headed out and bumped along the path to park our car in the cornfield and head over to the patch. This was our second year at our new favourite pumpkin patch and we couldn’t…
Sometimes there’s just too much chocolate at Easter – and sometimes you want to give a gift that has a little more permanence. We’ve pulled together a little guide to some of our favourite eggcups – the perfect gift for Easter time! a] Egg Run b] Peter Rabbit Silver Egg Cup c] Breakfast Express d] Laura…
Last year, the elf of the moment was Mack-Mack. He was an Elf on the Shelf elf, and Jensen adored him. The only trouble was, he adored him so much that I couldn’t bear to split them up when Christmas was over ~ and so the Mack Mack gave up his life at the North…
Our Jones Family Easter Egg Hunt this year (yes, I’ve decided the event warrants being a proper noun) was late. Events conspired against us. Eventually though, Gav and I came to the conclusions that a) Jensen is too young to know we missed the real date and b) late is better than never when it…
Bless him! Such beautiful photos too.
How lovely! What a great memory to keep.
Aw so sweet. I love that they have a tree in their room too. Lovely
What a lovely thing to be able to do. I fear any Christmas trees felled round here would be from someone's garden!
Aww bless him! Such a sweet boy and amazing pictures 🙂
Aww – gorgeous – clearly a proud smile in that last photo.
As an aside, I really love the look of your blog. The header is really lovely.

Aww, how cute! I love the photos you got! They came out great! My favorite is the one with your little one carry the Christmas tree on their back!! Love it!
This is such a heartwarming post! I love the pics. I am growing a Christmas tree to use in a couple of years too!
I am LOVING all your pictures. We have a place right up the street (literally) that sells trees, so we usually just pick one out and walk it home. I would love to chop one down someday.
That's a great tradition to have! I love the pictures and I am sure he was very excited to get his very own tree. It's a shame that a disease has destroyed all the rest of the trees!
What a beautiful family you have! Living in the city my whole life this is something I never got to experience, like EVER. I can't wait for our move so my daughter can have memories like this. You took such beautiful photos too, a shame you couldn't score a big family tree, but it's nice your boys will have their own tree this year! Lucky!
Aww. Look at him with his freshly cut tree. What a cute little man!
This brought a tear to my eye. What a wonderful right of passage. That is the most adorable little tree, too!
