I’m nearly managing to pop my head up from behind the scenes working on projects requiring much hoop jumping and regulatory approval, but at least this week has been fun for the Jones Boys because Squishmallows are here! This week, 13 – yes, THIRTEEN of the cutest, squishiest, moreish [if plushies can be moreish, these are those] little characters arrived in a big box from our long suffering postman. As they’re light and fluffy little Squishmallows I didn’t feel too bad for him this time.

WHO ARE THE SQUISHMALLOWS?

They’re a cute little squad of characters with individual personalities and the craze – or rather, the snuggle – is real across the pond in the USA, and now it’s here thanks to Hexbug introducing them across the country! These are the softest, sweetest little buddies in the boys’ bedroom and despite me saying that they could keep ONE each, somehow I’ve ignored the fact they are lined up across the bottom of their beds…

SQUISHMALLOW SQUAD

They’re super-kawaii, and marshmallowy soft and they kind of toy you want to hug and squeeze and squish as hard as you can because they’re so soft and silky. I love them all. I mean, my boys do. If you saw our Instagram Stories this weekend, Jensen managed to “fall” into a huge pile of them at Costco. Someone needs to fill a huge paddling pool with them and make a Squishmallow pool.

The Squishmallow Squad hitting the UK shops is 13 strong, with Christmas Characters waiting in the wings, AND – hold onto your hats – there will be a DISNEY RANGE coming in Autumn! DISNEY!

Our Squishmallows are around 7 and a half inches tall, and there are 3 and a half inch clip on toys ready to be released in the Summer, which means that my children’s teachers will be seeing quite a few of them in the book bag boxes in September!

Here are the Squishmallow characters that your little ones [or you, no judging here!] can adopt and a little bit about them…

PUFF the PENGUIN

Puff is a tech-fanatic penguin – the internet’s number one fan always searching for the newest thing. Also into robotics and has the most fun building or coding.

TIM the ALAPACA

Ever seen Tim before? You might not recognise him now, but you will! He is one of the greatest leading guitarists. Want to join Tim on his next tour bus? He gets to travel all over the world alongside his younger brother Jim! What’s his favourite kind of music to perform? Alternative rock!

HOOT the OWL

Hoot and his sister Holly [who we haven’t seen yet – could this be the 14^th character?! Ahhhh!] are complete opposites. He’s quiet, loves reading and studying, sometimes in his tree fort with his friend Cam. But…Hoot is also secretly a wonderful singer, but only when he thinks no one is watching.

CAMERON the CAT

Cameron loves to jump in and out of boxes, build forts with his friends Hoot and Wendy and use his skateboard to get around town. Cam also loves going to the beach to take cat naps with his friends but is always up for an adventure!

GARY the GIRAFFE

Nothing can stop Gary from reaching the finish line! You can’t miss his long legs on the track, as he aspires to become a future Olympian. Want to know the best part about Gary? He is fast on his feet and can solve any problem that comes his way!

MILA the ELEPHANT

Mila is making moves! She has found her healthy fix through creative recipe tips, which she uses to treat her friends and family! Ready to get happy and healthy with Mila?

SIMON the SLOTH

Want a buddy to just relax with? Simon is your perfect match. If you can’t find him, he is probably at the store buying another video game! He is the greatest video gamer on the block. He loves virtual reality. If it were up to him, he would teleport himself in a second!

HANS the HEDGEHOG [Or Sprinkles the Bear as he’s known in our home]

Hans has seen every movie ever and loves to eat pudding, especially with sprinkles. When it comes to food, Hans is willing to try whatever someone puts on his plate, probably because he is so open to change and adventure.

FIFI the FOX

Fifi is your girl if you like to go on adventures! She’s travelled to the Arctic, to the mountains and is ready to go on her next trip with you. Fifi has a vibrant personality and is quite the little firecracker.

RANDY the RACOON

If you can’t find Randy, look up! Randy is a rock climbing expert, capturing scenic beauty from elevations above. Maybe if you’re lucky he’ll invite you out as his next adventure buddy!

DANNY the DINO

You will always want Danny on your team! Why? He is the king of games! Danny loves strategising for board games, puzzles, outdoor sports or scavenger hunts with his buddies.

ASTRID the PURPLE UNICORN

Astrid is a dreamer and loves learning about how the stars align. She is a deep thinker and loves interacting with others. Curious to know what she wants to do when she grows up? She wants to be a psychology professor!

ESMERELDA the RAINBOW TIE DYE UNICORN

Esmeralda has quite the colourful personality. Her creativity is always shining through, especially in her artwork. Her collections brighten the room and inspire positivity wherever she goes.
