HATCHIMALS SERIES 3 COLLEGGTIBLES [TEST DRIVE TUESDAY]

When the news arrived that the gorgeous Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Series Three had been released, the boys were practically holding their breaths, as if they dare not speak of it.  Hatchimals are the cutest little creatures which arrive in eggs with little purple hearts on.  Once the little hearts are rubbed and given some love, you can hatch out the Hatchimals by pressing into the shell and cracking it open!  Anyhow, we love them so much that we have about 100 of them in our house so far.  You can read all of our Hatchimals posts here, if you’re a newcomer to Hatchtopia.

So, when Series 3 arrived, I opened the box for the boys to see and we were greeted with these below…

There are:

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 2-Pack + Nest (RRP £4.99)

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 – 4-Pack + Bonus (RRP £9.99)

Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Season 3 – One Dozen Egg pack (RRP £24.99).

Whenever I see the dozen egg boxes, I secretly [and now not so secretly] wish that they fitted regular sized hen eggs, so I could use them in my kitchen.  Ahhh.  Anyhow, in the dozen pack there are only 10 eggs as usual, and two little Hatchimals already out of the egg and peeping at you.  The Series 3 egg box is a gorgeous blue colour [my favourite]. I can’t quite get over that there ARE over 100 Season 3 Hatchimals CollEGGtibles to collect!

These are reportedly [I’m told by the boys, don’t hold me to it] split into Hatchimals from 9 Hatchtopia habitats: the farm, ocean, jungle, forest, desert, meadow, river, garden or savannah and there are:

• 28 pairs of best friends [The catchphrase for Season 3 is Hatch Friends Forever – in some of the eggs are special Hatchimal friends who will pose together.  They’re friends, not siblings like the twin eggs];
• 20 different sets of twins, and;
• Hatchimals from 3 different squads with 6 LIMITED EDITION Hatchimals CollEGGtibles each.

These special LIMITED EDITION Hatchimals which can be found in the eggs are just magical to the boys – and I hold my breath that somehow there will be a magically equal distribution of these kinds amongst the boys, but there never is. This time Jensen was most unlucky and Lyoto somehow ended up with SO many more of the Hatchimals with an innocent face. There are velvety soft Hatchimals, twin Hatchimals, crystal-like Hatchimals, and I think all of them are like little bobble-head Hatchimals – they aren’t just sold lumps of plastic and glitter, they’re very gorgeously made little figures.

These are Lyoto’s little set of Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Series Three. and these are Jensen’s little collection… …and we were banned from seeing Hero’s in case someone wanted to come and take them away.  Awww.

So, Hatchimals CollEGGtibles Series three are out now, are gorgeous, beautifully made and very good pocket money toys and birthday/Christmas/Easter presents!
