HALLOWE’EN BASKETS FOR THE BOYS 2018
It’s pretty rare that I manage to hide anything from the boys these days – and so I’ve had to be on covert ops collecting the little bits and pieces for their Hallowe’en baskets this year. I know Hallowe’en baskets aren’t everyone’s thing, and some people think they’re pointless, but they’re one of our family traditions and the boys get very excited about them, and that makes me happy.
So this year, I got the PJs from Matalan [£7 I think], some books, some Hallowe’en chocolate, a Chocolate Orange each [pumpkin] a few novelty bits and pieces and a Vampirina blind bag. They each got a costume for Trick or Treating too, and we have some party things in the house that are new to add to our collection, like the giant skull candy dish [£5, Asda] and the light up BOO sign [£8, Tesco].
I’ve reused the Cauldrons from last year and got some Hallowe’en popcorn buckets from Asda too [£2] ready for our movies.
We’re all so excited – it’s just so annoying that here in Hampshire the timing of October half term changed a couple of years ago and so now we don’t have a break over Hallowe’en, which means carving pumpkins on a school night which is now done in such a rush – get home, get pumpkins done, get changed for trick or treating :/ Ah, the drama! Haha.
