Summer Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats
Hey, friends! One of the things I look forward to – and therefore miss most, about Walt Disney World is the food. Oh, the restaurants… The cafés! The snacks! I never knew food like that existed before I visited – creative, delicious and exciting to eat! When we come home we get the famous Disney Blues and so snacks like these, our Orange and Lemon Rice Krispie Mickey Treats, put a smile on the boys’ faces.
What’s brilliant about these Rice Krispie Mickey Treats is that you can make them in five minutes! I know because I timed myself today, haha. Here’s what you’ll need.

How to Make Rice Krispie Mickey Treats
- This is the super fast, easy method. You can make bigger ones by making your own Rice Krispie Mix like in our Classic Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treats.
- Open the Rice Krispie Bars – line them up on your chopping board before you cut them because you’ll get sticky hands otherwise!
- Cut Mickey Heads Out – Trim off any bits that look a bit jagged.
- Cut Paper Straws in half and insert into Mickey heads – Do this carefully to avoid the Rice Krispie Treat falling apart.
- Break up chocolate into microwaveable glass bowl – I used two bars from the pack of four for six little Mickey Treats.
- Heat for one minute and stir until all lumps are gone – don’t overheat it, just keep stirring. If you heat it much more, it will end up grainy and horrible.
- Dip Mickey Ears into chocolate and lie on tray lined with baking paper – wait until the chocolate has finished dripping before you transfer them over or you’ll have a [delicious] mess.
- Add green sprinkles to the non-chocolate part of the Mickey Treats – make sure you press them onto the marshmallowy Rice Krispie part or they’ll just roll away when you pick them up.
- Place Orange and Lemon on Chocolate Mickey Ears – I cut some of mine in half, you could even make a little bow for Minnie treats!
- Leave chocolate to set – leave them in a cool place rather than the fridge. Mine took about an hour to be solid.
