A NOISY HALLOWE’EN NIGHT [2015]

This Hallowe’en my camera decided to lend testament to the need for an upgrade.  High ISO means NOISY, grainy photos with poor old Bert [my camera].  In any case, I decided to post them anyway because they’re our family memories and we had a fantastic night.

Hero’s second Hallowe’en.  Last year he sat at home as the Riddler to our two Dark Knights.

This year we had two zombies and an electrocuted zombie [they’ve been playing Plants vs. Zombies with Daddy], who had his first ever real shoes – Livie and Luca boots on and who also got quite carried away shouting in unison with his bigger brothers when they sang out, “Trick or treat!”.

Our pumpkins were last minute carvings, but we loved them just the same.

Giving is as much fun as getting on Hallowe’en.  Making little decorated cellophane bags of treats to hand out made the boys giddy with happiness every time they opened the door to a crowd of children.  We had 41 visitors throughout the night.

We were able to stand back and watch for the first year ever as our little zombies went off alone up garden paths to knock curiously on neighbours’ doorways after we tracked down houses with pumpkins lit to welcome them, and instead we waited at the gates for their little victories.
