HEALTHY BITES FOR HUNGRY HERO [FROZEN BERRY SWIRL YOGHURT DROPS]
As you all know, we were lucky enough to be chosen as BabyMoov ambassadors this year and so we’ve spent the days weaning Baby Hero using one of the best machines we’ve ever come across, the NutriBaby. We use it for all kinds of food preparation – and today we’ve used it to help us make these delicious yoghurt berry swirls.
The boys eat more than I could ever have imagined and when it’s not mealtimes, they’re hunting down snacks to keep them going in their adventures. So I decided to have a little fun and make something a bit different for them to munch on today.
All you need is a bowlful of berries, your choice [I used raspberries and strawberries], some yoghurt [I used Yeo Valley Organic Natural] a blender or sieve, a sharp knife and piping equipment. I bought two little piping pens from Tesco for £1 each.
STEP ONE
Start by chopping. Take the bits off the berries that you don’t want to eat.
STEP TWO
Blend the berries to a thick pulp.
STEP THREE
Sieve the pips out – otherwise this clogs up your piping equipment.
STEP FOUR
Prepare your workspace. Use baking paper and load your two piping tools – one with yoghurt, one with the purée. I put my baking paper on a wooden board so I could put it into the freezer flat, without fear of it running anywhere.
STEP 5
Pipe the yoghurt drops. This was fun.
STEP 6
Pipe the swirls on.
STEP 7
Freeze until ready. I left mine overnight. I wish I had photos to show them being eaten, but they went too fast!
These so delicious! My husband would love these. It doesn't look to hard to do, but then again anything I try to do in the kitchen never tends to turn out well. Maybe this will be a first since I don't have to turn the stove on!
This is such a great idea! I like it not just for babies, but for grown ups who just want a little taste of something now and then.

These look really good. Love any kind of berry so I think I will try them with different ones. Raspberry, Strawberry, Blueberry the more drops the better!

My kids would love these little bites! Great for lunch boxes too since they are small. The possibilities are endless too! Using different fruits and flavors.
