WINNIE THE POOH 90TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
We finally made it to the weekend and spent Saturday trying to find out Hallowe’en decorations in the garage and loft – and on Sunday we awoke to many little black rainclouds. By around midday, the rain, rain, rain had been coming down, down, down for most of the morning, and so seeing a break in the clouds, we ambled as fast as we could [if you can amble fast, that is] towards our own Hundred Acre wood to celebrate for our Winnie the Pooh 90th birthday party.
We’d promised the boys all week that we’d have a little celebration for Pooh, because by the time we’re home from school at the moment it’s getting dark and cold and there’s not much time for fun, outdoorsy things. This Sunday we celebrated our Winnie the Pooh 90th birthday party.
So, after the worst of the rain on Sunday we made honey sandwiches and jam tarts, wobbly jellies and bite sized chocolate chip muffins, and packed them into a wicker picnic basket along with our party hats and plates. When we arrived at our planned destination, our favourite picnic bench had been moved and so the mister and I heaved a different bench to our favourite spot, and we set up a little picnic, just for Pooh, Eeyore, Rabbit and Tigger – and we bought along two Christopher Robins and a Little Piglet all of our own.
Happy belated birthday to the best bear in all the world. No matter how old you are, you’re very loved, you silly old bear.
Very sweet! I adore Winnie the Pooh, such fun, you can see from the pictures autumn has really crept in!
How precious are your pictures, what a lovely idea and how cute are the little dotty party hats! x
Beautiful photos and what a lovely idea! I miss Winnie the Pooh, my children have all grown out of it now really and I still really love the characters and stories
This makes me smile so much and Pooh wouldn’t mind it being his un 90th birthday at all. You have a rather cute piglet there.
