PIRATES AND PALS FIREWORKS VOYAGE
If you’re a fan of Peter Pan and friends, this is the experience or you! On the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage, you’ll meet Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, first of all as you enjoy ice creams and treats, drinks [including pirate punch – passionfruit, guava and orange juice] and snacks whilst posing for photos! Then, led by your pirate host Patch, you’ll embark on your voyage, setting sail across the Seven Seas Lagoon for the Happily Ever After fireworks, singing sea shanties and being quizzed on all things Disney pirate – and when you return, Peter Pan will be there to help you set food on dry land and avoid bumping into the old codfish again!
Jensen and Gav were given Pirate Bandanas, and won hooks [we think, we’re having a hard time remembering] during Disney trivia quizzes whilst onboard the voyage. It was one of the highlights of our trip. There were pirates to post with an pirate decor of all kinds!

HOW MUCH IS THE PIRATES AND PALS FIREWORKS VOYAGE?
As of today [February 1st, 2020], it will cost just under $84 per adult – which in Disney means anyone aged 10 and up, and just under $50 per child [ages 3 to 9].
WHEN DOES IT TAKE PLACE?
Every night, at 6:45PM, but guests need to arrive ten minutes beforehand at the Contemporary Lobby. Check in is on the second floor!
WHERE IS THE PIRATES AND PALS FIREWORKS VOYAGE?
Your pirating adventure begins at the Contemporary Resort, where food and drink, including Pirate Punch, is served before heading out. Patch, your host, will them take you out to the boat!
ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?
No, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
POINTS TO NOTE ABOUT THE VOYAGE EXPERIENCE
You don’t have to dress as a pirate – but you can, and it only adds to the fun!
The food was tasty, but nothing particularly Disney themed [except the frozen treats].
Jensen actually fell asleep on the voyage, because it was dark and the boat lulled him along to sleep!
Up to 60 people are on the boat – it’s a big boat!
Fireworks may differ if it’s a seasonal occasion such as Halloween or Christmas.

It’s unfortunate that all these experiences are so expensive. If as you say there are 60 people, assuming half “adults” over 10 yrs and half under 10, then for each experience disney rake in $4500 for a couple of hours of staff time and some food.
