Wordless Wednesday… Last One of 2014 [Linky]

Sharing is caring!

It’s our last Wordless Wednesday of the year, and our last first Christmas as our Baby Hero, our little sugarplum, celebrates his first visit from Father Christmas.

There are so many lasts and firsts this year and as we turn the clock into the New Year.  Our first January as a family of five, our first year without our huskies.  It’s bittersweet and January will undoubtedly be filled with tears as we come to terms with losing Excalibur.  After 14 years of huskies, we can still hear them in the house, and I still come downstairs expecting to see him at the door, circling.  My heart is hurting so deeply.

As well as resolutions, I’m making wishes too.  We’re hoping for happiness in our lives this year…what do you hope the new year will bring, and how are you resolving to make your year a better one?

  5. There's nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby! I'm sorry to hear about your dogs–they really are part of the family, especially when they're inside dogs. My parents recently had to put down the cocker spaniel that I grew up with: at 18 years old, Peanut's quality of life was awful, and it was the right time to put her down, but that decision weighed heavily on all of us. It's been almost a month, and I still expect to see her every time I go to my parents house. 🙁 Here's to a 2015 filled with only good things! 🙂

  8. Sorry to hear of your loss…doggie companions definitely leave paw prints on our hearts. I still miss my lab/chow mix and it's been 2 years. I hope that 2015 brings increased productivity and happiness, continued health, and to see a few of my friends that I haven't seen in a long time.

  11. I could hug him from here. Getting a new huskies will give a new joy for your family. We have a dog in our house and it feels empty when he's not around. Prayers to your family and I hope 2015 will be a huge happiness. Thank you for sharing

  12. Oh no that's so sad about Excalibur. I would be devastated. My dog is an American Eskimo but he lives with my parents now that I'm married and we've been moving around so much. Plus he hates my husband. This year had a lot of firsts for me too.. and we moved away from LA.. so there are definitely lots of lasts there too. Hope 2015 treats you and your family well! 🙂

  13. That picture of your little one is so adorable, I love the quote from The Night Before Christmas too, so sweet. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your huskies, I know the pain of losing a beloved pet, it's like losing a family member. I hope January won't be too bittersweet for you and that you can enjoy the New Year.
