We saw “IBM Father Christmas” yesterday. Yes, that’s his name. He brings presents to all of the boys and girls of IBM parents, then he goes off to help the normal Father Christmas, apparently. He also provides a magic show, disco, face painter and card making station. He’s pretty amazing.
Easter morning, our house was pretty for ten minutes…. Our Little Adventurer preserved the perfection of his egg….Baby Dragon devoured his. Last year we began our Christmas tree chopping tradition after the mister was tipped off about a tree farm by a work colleague. It’s one of my most cherished holiday rituals now and much more exciting to us than just buying a tree from the local nursery. Now, as a family, we are amazing terrible at missing deadlines….

It’s just a field. A field that grows magic. The tree farm. We don’t know what it’s called, and we don’t know how we found it. They don’t advertise…and they always ask us not to tell others. And with gloopy mud puddles, jewelled cobwebs and mystical weeds, we find Christmas here, every year.
