One boy and his tree. Her name is Ruby. I couldn’t be more proud. Merry Christmas.
I had never picked cherries. We spent afternoons…
Last year we began our Christmas tree chopping tradition after the mister was tipped off about a tree farm by a work colleague. It’s one of my most cherished holiday rituals now and much more exciting to us than just buying a tree from the local nursery. Now, as a family, we are amazing terrible at missing deadlines….
Father Christmas is a big deal in our home. Every one of our boys still believes and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I won’t tell you how long it was that I believed for, but let’s just say the boys have quite a way to go to beat my record. Anyhow, I’m hanging onto the…
When I was in my late teens, I was in love with the photography of Anne Geddes. You know, the “famous baby” photos from Friends (from the Elle McPherson episodes). I had diaries, calendars, and when I left for law school in 1994 (how old I feel saying that), I plastered my bathroom at my…
This time last year I was so busy with our newborn Baby Dragon and never got around to blogging our Easter photographs. I’m still in shock a little that this will be our Little Adventurer’s FOURTH Easter. A little trip down memory lane… {Jensen’s 2nd Easter} ..and last year. Last year the Easter Bunny was…
Easter morning, our house was pretty for ten minutes…. Our Little Adventurer preserved the perfection of his egg….Baby Dragon devoured his. The Easter Bunny was spotted in Baby Dragon’s new Team Umizoomi book… …and after all of the excitement over the chocolate, the gifts and the leaping about over the Bunny’s muddy footprints… …finally…

This is such a heartwarming post! I love the pics. I am growing a Christmas tree to use in a couple of years too!
I am LOVING all your pictures. We have a place right up the street (literally) that sells trees, so we usually just pick one out and walk it home. I would love to chop one down someday.
That's a great tradition to have! I love the pictures and I am sure he was very excited to get his very own tree. It's a shame that a disease has destroyed all the rest of the trees!
What a beautiful family you have! Living in the city my whole life this is something I never got to experience, like EVER. I can't wait for our move so my daughter can have memories like this. You took such beautiful photos too, a shame you couldn't score a big family tree, but it's nice your boys will have their own tree this year! Lucky!
Aww. Look at him with his freshly cut tree. What a cute little man!
This brought a tear to my eye. What a wonderful right of passage. That is the most adorable little tree, too!
