Whoosh…!
Summer babies mean Summer birthday parties – and as I finished packing the red, white and blue decorations into the back of my parents’ car, I smiled. Suddenly, each one of those sticky, sweaty days, waddling like a penguin with a medicine ball between its flippers as I tried to bear the humidity of my…
There’s a new superhero in town! Bedecked in his brother’s Mexican superhero cape (from Granny), Super Dragon and his trusty sidekick White Wulluff (see below) were saving the Jones household from the perils that Thursday morning can bring. Our masked Dragon was a little too keen to reveal his secret identity though. No sense in…
The post is sponsored by Childcare.co.uk So as I’m sure you’re more than painfully aware if you read our blog or know us in the real world, Gav and I generally get out and have a date night about twice a year if we’re lucky. We go out every August, to celebrate our Disney Fairytale…
It’s me! On the blog. I can’t even look at it without grimacing. And having my photograph taken? How hard can it be to look at the camera, I wondered – since I’m constantly the one yelling at asking my boys to look at my lens – and as soon as one is pointed at…
Advertorial bought to you in association with The Super Yummies toddler snacking range, for children aged 12-36 months. There are two kinds of adventures in my boys’ experience: big and little. This month our big adventures are visiting Father Christmas, going on holiday [although they don’t know it yet] and of course, Christmas Day itself….
Last weekend, we had the pleasure of travelling to London to spend time in the company of the terribly talented, award-winning author and illustrator duo, Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre. They’re collaborators of some of our favourite stories, including their newest book, Jinks & O’Hare Funfair Repair. We were in fact awaiting our delivery of that…
It sounds like your weekend was a blast – literally! That looks like so much more fun that what I did. It wasn't that my weekend wasn't fun. It just didn't have rockets.
What a fun post. I haven't seen bottle rockets in a long time. This brings back memories. I spent last weekend being lazy and will be going on a train tour this coming weekend.
Oh how fun! You captured some really great pictures. My brothers used to play with bottle rockets like this.
Your boys are so cute! And happy birthday to you. I hope you got everything you wished for.
They look so happy, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful post and photos 😀
Looks like everyone had a fun day. =) My kiddos would love to shoot off rockets like that. Great pictures.
Birthdays, boys, and bottle rockets sound like an excellent combination. It looks like a whole lot of fun.
Such nice pictures and family. Thank you for sharing this occasion with us.
What an awesome birthday! My husband and I drove out to Vegas for one night. Your weekend seems like it was just a little more relaxing (but no less exciting). 🙂
It looks like you guys had a blast. My son would have loved bottle rockets when he was younger.
Oh wow, that is a fun activity for the boys of your family! My son would love that! Belated happy birthday!
Happy belated birthday, glad you and the family has some fun. You have some very cute kids there.
You’re such a cool mom!!! I would love to do this with my kids too!
That looks like so much fun! Can't wait for the weather to get a little bit nicer so we can get outside and do stuff again.
So much fun in the beautiful weather, I'm totally envious. I would love to have my birthday during this time of the year were the weather is in between states.
These will be unforgettable memories for your children. My daughters are in their 30s now and they still remember all the fun stuff their dad and I did with them when they were that age.
That bottle rocket looks like a lot of fun. Gotta cherish the birthdays and time we have with our kids.
Aw, they look like they had a ton of fun. Beautiful pictures, and happy birthday 🙂
Bottle rockets look like a lot of fun – I wanna try that with my nephew. This weekend, no fun for me. Just work.

Awwwwwwww looks like y'all had a lot of fun!!!! I haven't played with bottle rockets since I was a kiddo. Brings back memories looking at your photos 🙂

This looks like a blast, I didn't know they made these anymore. Another week and hopefully we can start getting outside more, the little ones are going stir crazy!
That's a cute bottle rocket! I've never seen one that's actually shaped like a rocket! It looks like y'all had a great time 🙂
Oh my stars, my kids would have a blast with the bottle rockets. And my husband as well for that matter!
That looks like soo much fun! My kid's would love that. I haven't ever seen anything like this before.
What great pictures! I've been wanting to do bottle rockets with my girls but they don't seem very interested haha! They would rather have their nails painted! Lol
